Dr. Tagaloa-Tulifau – Podiatrist in Lakewood, CA
5-Star-Rated Podiatrist
I have practiced podiatric medicine and surgery at Tagaloa-Tulifau Foot & Ankle Center in Lakewood, CA, since 1999. I take great pride in my career. Doing what I love to do – helping people with their foot and ankle problems – is a real blessing and my true calling.
I believe there’s nothing as fulfilling as seeing someone come into my office with pain or a full-blown infected diabetic ulcer and leave with a smile because I was able to resolve their pain or begin a course of treatment to save their limb.
I work to create lasting relationships with my patients and the community. I believe in spending quality time with my patients, explaining their foot or ankle problems, and exploring treatment options. While I’m a well-trained foot and ankle surgeon, my philosophy is to try conservative treatment first before considering surgical intervention.
I was born and raised in American Samoa, where I attended Fagaitua High School, graduating as valedictorian of my class. Following high school, I attended American Samoa Community College, then moved to California with my parents and received my Bachelor of Science in biology from Loma Linda University.
After relocating to San Francisco, I received my Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from California College of Podiatric Medicine, which is now known as California College of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt College. Then I went on to complete my residency at the University of Southern California-Los Angeles County Medical Center.
I continue to keep up with the latest medical research, innovations, and treatments by attending continuing education seminars throughout the country. I firmly believe that knowledge is power, so I keep up-to-date with technology and implement advanced procedures in my office.
In my spare time, I like to exercise and spend time with my family, which includes six children and my mother. Three of my daughters are still at home, while my fourth daughter and two sons attend college.
